just a lady from a place of rainy irrevelance

My busy days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I do not post my most serious works on Protagonize.
My name is Basil (or Baz - I don't mind which). They are both derived from my full name, which is Basilica when I am good and Basilisk when I am bad.
I am an INFJ. I’m not sure whether I’m more phlegmatic or melancholic, but I fluctuate between them depending on my mood. I would love to post an autobiographic work on here, but I don’t have much of a life story, so I can’t.
I'm a Roman Catholic, which is very important to me. My ever-growing faith influences my writing, I hope, but I'm not trying to directly impose my faith on those who won't be imposed upon. However, I warn you in advance that I will pray for you ALL, so be afraid!
I love my friends. Nyxie is so faithful, so sweet, so adorable to me, and our collabs are so dear to me. SumnerzAngel is someone whom I trust and admire, ultimately and implicitly. Artemisian is amazing; she’s brilliant; she’s chatty!
My Hobbies Include: (Click on a word in bold for a sample of my writing. I hope my links are adequately topical; they make perfect sense to me.)
- Playing [lyrical] melodies on euphonium (as depicted by MorriganAoife)
- Playing [awesome] riffs on guitar
- Playing [rousing] fanfares on trombone
- Reading baby name books
- Reading dictionaries
- Reading sociology books
- Dancing in the rain
- Jumping hay bales
- Conjugating French verbs
- Factorising quadratic expressions
- Blowing grass
- Stargazing
- Reminiscing
- Whistling
- Daydreaming
- Running—getting bruised, tired and achy
- Procrastinating
- Indulging in unauthorised depression
- Galloping for divine joy
- Writing essays and rants
- Serenading the neighbours
- Sitting in rabbit hutches
- Making family trees
- Swinging in cyberspace with my cousins
REMEMBER: Don't worry about making a fool of yourself. If you're a clumsy potato like me, don't be afraid to trip up et cetera. It's better that people see your real always-making-a-fool-of-self so that they know what you're really like.
And listen to this song. It is wonderful.
My Current WIPs [on Protag]:
My Completed Works (they're all short bar one):
- Flotsam and Jetsam
- Vanishing Act
- Cliff-Top Witness
- Ilsa Krause
- Traveller; City Road (with Nyxie and blahedout)
The [Alive] Collabs in which I am currently participating:
- A Sad Affair (with Nyxie)
- A Tale of Three Sisters (with Nyxie)
- Paper-Clip Benders (with Nyxie, Artemisian, chimerakiller2 and NakaRisaune)
- With Her Glass-Chime Laugh (with SumnerzAngel)
- Shipwrecked (with SydneyJade, Rissi, HarryPotter.Lover, JSimmons, Moonbean, [DollyInk,] and Hacheam
- (Please remind me what I’ve forgotten, because I know there’s plenty)
I may be overly and unnecessarily dramatic. Don’t let it fool you.
"Writing is a path not the less travelled, but one sorely in need of perfection - Dorothea Brande (from memory because I can't find the book)"

"When Den O'Derron's sister is murdered, he has no one and nothing left. Depressed and bitter, he turns to hating everyone, everything, and most of all himself. When Deanna Macpherson arrives on the scene, she doesn't rebuff him like everyone else. She has one chance to save his soul, and help his family, before the blue-cloaked murderer strikes again."
Sourness
"My name is Sarah Domaille. I have a sister named Bridie, the same age as me, whom I have not met since our first birthday, and to whom I am not physically related; but I know that she is out there, sitting in a room I know so well, pondering: she is in exactly the same situation as I am in. Our situation is rather odd, Bridie's and mine-yes, we are the parallel products of four parents."

Flotsam and Jetsam
"A story about a family - excuse the exceedinly cheesy romance. This, like most of my longer work, is an old baby of mine, approximately fifteen months of age. Set in my favourite place on Earth."

"This is not a tale of my life. In fact, if anything, this is just a series of posts- anecdotes- I believe I need to tell. Though I am in the habit of blaming myself, it's not for this, a part of my composition. Because everyone needs a way to mask a broken heart."
Full.mature
"This is my journey out of Egypt; my escape to the promise land from my own place of bondage. Taken directly from my journal, it relates my struggles with false guilt, self-harm, eating, depression and anxiety and how God was in it all and led me through it.
A story of hope from despair, of darkness replaced by light,
of ashes transformed into beauty. This is my story. This is His story.
Read through to the end... there is always hope in the end."
Deathly Secrets
"A wretched but beautiful villain. A gruff but sensitive saloonkeeper. A dastardly but intriguing mission. And a timid but heroic woman who's caught in the middle of it all."
