My name is Sean and I currently reside in the festering urban Hell of Dublin, Ireland. I am 19 years old and some would (and have) called me cynical, and I suppose I kind of am, but really, I'm not that bad! I am a Media student (although that vocation doesn't interest me anymore). I like to think I'm more of a harmless eccentric.

Above all, I am an aspiring writer of weird fiction.

I should warn you right now I am rabid H.P. Lovecraft fan and probably always will be! My chosen genre is Horror, but I have no idea why, although I do enjoy fantasy and science fiction (anything that stretches the imagination).

I enjoy a lot of late Victorian/early 20th century writing, my favourite authors being Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, M.R. James, E.F. Benson and countless single stories by a myriad of authors, past and present.

I also have a great love for movies. I am an especial lover of Horror, but I will watch anything (Citizen Kane happens to be a personal favourite). My favourite diretor is Guillermo del Toro, and pretty much anything he puts out I love.

There's also music, which is a key ingredient in helping me write, to set a mood. Mainly varying degrees of Metal, ambient and film soundtracks.

I suppose I could go really in depth and talk about religious and political views...I'm not an atheist, but not a believer, and not an agnostic, but I don't believe in a God (explanation: there's too much weird crap in the world to make me a complete atheist). I have a vaguely left-ish liberal view (although surprisingly right-wing when it comes to crime) and am not especially nationalist at all, mostly because Ireland is sinking more and more into the Atlantic ocean every day due the sheer vast quantity of fail it generates on a daily basis.
