Belladonna must be steeped in feriwyn juice for four days straight, then taken out. The liquid must then be taken to the boil, and silverwood added as soon as it comes off the fire. After the solution reaches room temperature, wolfsbane and araekyth must be added at hourly interval. Name: Quin Conroy

Meaning: Quin means "fifth son" and Conroy means "wise."

Age: haven't fully decided but probably close to 30 . He's, of course, the fifth son of his father.

Apperance: his study of alchemy (chemistry) has given him the ability to look good without really trying by drinking elixirs that improve health. Dark hair with a well kept, trimmed goatee.

Personality: He is a know-it-all, partly because he comes from a family of alchemists and scribes and partly because of his own ego. Looking good because of his elixir doping probably helps here, too. He's been studying alchemy all of his life and just recently picked up his first apprentice, Glenda.

Name: Glenda Ní Caoimh

Meaning: Glenda means 'pure' and Caoimh means 'gentle'

Age: 22

Appearance: Quietly beautiful, long dark brown hair that's usually pulled back into a plait when she's working, hazel eyes. Not too tall, about 5'6/5'7 has a well-rounded figure, curvy not fat. Wears plain clothing because she is an apprentice and doesn't ever need to wear nice clothes but dreams of wearing beautiful gowns like noble ladies do.

Personality: Quite shy and usually does what she's told but can't stand the thought of causing someone else harm because of something she's done. Worked in her father's small alchemist's shop, helping him with his potions and when she showed a natural talent for alchemy he began teaching her properly about simple potion making. Couldn't believe it when she was offered an apprenticeship with Quin Conroy but slowly began to realise that he's not as perfect as she thought he was.
Her biggest flaw is the fact that she likes being complimented and praised for her work a little more than she should and can sometimes think she's better than others, but won't voice these views. This possibly comes from spending a lot of time with Quin.

Name: Brion Fionn

Age: 23

Meaning: Brion means 'noble/strong'

Appearance: He's not towering, but is fairly tall with shoulders that have been broadened from work. He has the Fionn green eyes and a head full of dirty-blonde hair that has a little body to it but not enough to be considered 'curly'. Its usually worn at a length that just barely covers his ears and gives him a shaggy, peasant-boy look despite his father's status as cheiftan. He has a big smile and a hearty laugh; both can be contagious.

Personality: Very friendly. He has a tendancy to see the good in others more than the bad, which makes him a good friend but can also make him naive to reality or danger. He is a hardworker and finds much satisfaction in a job well-done, even when it wears him out. He has a fun-loving personality that wins him some popularity, but that's not what he seeks after. He loves his family and always tries to include all his siblings in what's going on.

Name: Aislinn Ní Fionn

Meaning: Aislinn means 'vision/dream' and Fionn means 'light haired'

Age: 16

Appearance: She has a slender and slight figure, with sparkling green eyes that marks her as one of the chieftain's children. She has a heart-shaped face framed with wild black curls (she's an exception from her family's light haired trend), a button nose and lush red lips. She is something of a beauty in her father's province. Aislinn loves to wear colourful clothing, and her favourite is an emerald green dress made of fine wool with an embroidered hem. She prefers to have her hair free.

Personality: Aislinn loves riding. She loves the exhilaration of riding astride through a field with the winds in her hair. Although now that she had come of age she had been forbidden to ride astride. She is very much a nature person, preferring to be out of doors to gather berries than to sit do needlework. She's a carefree soul who loves working with animals and spending time with her siblings, especially her youngest brother who is only seven. But she does have not-so-good qualities. Aislinn is very short tempered as well as stubborn, and sometimes just a bit selfish.
